T.I.P. was created to be more than just a missions experience. T.I.P. provides young athletes the unique opportunity to combine sports with outreach, exposing team members to a once in a lifetime opportunity! Participants will:

  • (T)rain in Costa Rica in the mornings,
  • (I)mpact underprivileged children in volleyball clinics in the afternoons, and
  • (P)lay and compete on an international platform with nightly competition against the best Costa Rican high school programs, as well as their Junior National team.

The trip is open to a limited number of ministry partners including coaches, players, non-players and chaperones.

All of this takes place in an amazingly friendly, safe and beautiful tropical and mountainous country filled with incredible natural splendor that we will visit and see in our free time and day off.

Robin and Bob White have taken hundreds of high school athletes over the last 30 years on sports mission trips and have a solid network of Costa Rican friends that plan summer  missions. Through HPS Costa Rica, they partner with Athletes in Action and the National Federation.

Bob and Robin White

For almost 30 years now, my wife Robin and I have taken and directed well over 600 high school and collegiate student athletes overseas to train, compete and conduct clinics through sports missions.

During those years we have been able to develop long term relationships with the top High School, Club and First Division Costa Rica Volleyball programs and with the leadership from the Costa Rica National Federation and Women's National Team Program.
